Ottawa’s musical duo SOUND OF LIONS are officially incorporating a live band into the group.  Jemrock is working with the hot pop-electro team on a publicity re-launch with its new members.  SOL‘s sound is diverse and deep– check out their first single Passive Attack, as well as acoustic/hip-hop masterpiece My Bloody Valentine with group Flight Distance.

Jemrock Media is also working this month on a string of video productions with a number of talented individuals, including acclaimed cinematographer Rami Mikhail, who shot this wicked vid Ditzy Girl for Vancouver artist Rosette.   Need to link with a video crew for a project?  Contact info@jemrockmedia.com.

Jemrock is in Ottawa this month for CANADA DAY, where the streets get lined elbow to elbow with cheering, drinking Canuck-folk and the city’s licensed establishments welcome the sidewalk overflow.

Check out street parties in front of NORML Clothing & Cafe Dekcuf during the day before the evening fireworks, & be sure to hit at least one bar for an after party, such as TimeKODE, which hosts a special Canada Day edition @MERCURY LOUNGE in the Byward Market, featuring the funkadelic stylings of local DJs Zattar, Trevor Walker, Eric Roberts & Memetic.

In the Nation’s Capital and coast to coast, the first of July is going to be full of bumpin’ parties and artist showcases, outdoor gatherings and throngs of crowds milling in between it all.  Wear your maple leaf with pride!

Vacation!

This month Jemrock is doing some traveling through the islands, hitting Vancouver Island and Saltspring for some much-needed R&R and networking with new artists. Turning the tables on the last fashion-fuelled month, throughout June we don’t plan to see a lot of showers or irons.  Time to hit camp!
